Amberstone are a leading provider of electronic security solutions operating across the UK and Europe. We are currently seeking experienced Fire Alarm Engineers based throughout the UK. Candidates must be motivated, able to work on their own or as part of a team and looking to continuously improve. You will also need to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. The role involves the installing, maintaining, and servicing of fire alarm equipment within a commercial environment.

Salary: Competitive basic salary (depending on experience) with overtime.

The Role:

Service, maintenance, and small works of:

  • Fire Alarm Systems
  • Emergency Lighting
  • Fire Extinguishers
  • Disabled Refuge Communication Systems
  • Accurate completion of documentation, timesheets, and submission of job reports through the Company’s service system.
  • Ensuring that the client is satisfied with the work carried out on the system prior to leaving site.
  • Installing systems to a high standard.
  • Always provide a high level of customer service.
  • Working to safe health & safety practices.
  • Carry out 1st and 2nd fix of a variety of small to medium sized systems both conventional and addressable systems and commission where required.
  • Reactive works – to key customers larger sites.
  • Servicing of fire and emergency lighting systems key customer larger sites i.e.: distribution centres and head offices etc. Including replacing failed items.
  • Read and interpret building plans and CAD drawings.

Key Experience / qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years in the Fire Alarm industry with good working knowledge of addressable systems including: Gent, Advanced, C-Tec, Kentec, Fike, Morley, Global Fire Equipment, etc.
  • Experience in fault finding and maintaining.
  • Product and parts, knowledge of associated fire alarm products.
  • The ability to use manufactures commissioning software advantageous or else the desire to learn progress within the role.
  • Engineer to be expected to travel within designated region and work away on occasions.
  • Desirable to Hold a valid IPAF license and ECS/CSCS card.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Computer and IT literate.

  • Have the desire to learn and continually improve your knowledge.
