Job Role: Screening Administrator

Reporting to: Screening & Vetting Manager

Key Purpose of Role: To provide background screening/security vetting services for new recruits to the business

Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Screening Administrator to join our inhouse screening team.

Our team deliver a high-quality service to ensure that our employees meet all company and industry requirements and standards.

Although demanding, this role will allow you to demonstrate your exemplary telephone, organisational and customer service skills which are essential for this role. You will be engaging with candidates, managers and existing members of staff within Amberstone Security.

Training will be provided on all Security Screening Standards.

As a Screening Administrator you are tasked with upholding the professional integrity of Amberstone Security.

Please note: any successful candidates will be screened to BS7858:2019 with a Basic Disclosure (police check). To successfully pass this screening a 5-year checkable work/education or evidence of your whereabouts is required.

Key Tasks:

  • Administration of security documentation including referencing, eligibility to work checks and client specific on-boarding requests, such as criminal record declarations/checks, confidentiality agreements and financial checks
  • Ensure details provided (and supporting documents), fully meet the required Security Screening Standard
  • Completion of the 3-year verbal (provisional) screening in a timely and efficient manner
  • Calling Companies and chasing up reference requests
  • Advise and guide candidates on vetting matters, ensuring candidates are supported throughout their background screening process
  • Respond to queries raised & emails in a timely manner
  • Ensure paper and electronic records are fully maintained, accurate and auditable
  • Undertake additional vetting related tasks as and when requested
  • Process data in line with data protection requirements (GDPR)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • You will need to be confident, articulate and communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • You should have excellent organisation and administrative skills, be able to work on your own initiative to deadlines.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Competent working on a computer

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience of working in a HR, background screening or customer service environment
